A Visit to Wolverhampton Low Level, 1965

A friend at college, Dave Marchant, had a little car and we made a Wednesday afternoon visit to the Wolverhampton area in the early summer of 1965. First stop was the former Great Western Low Level Station. BR Western Region were intending to dispense with steam by early 1966 and the Wolverhampton area was one of the last strongholds of steam on the region. The colour shots here are amongst my earliest, sadly the Agfa slides haven't aged too well. If only I had used Kodachrome!!
