David A Flitcroft
Summer holidays in August 1965 were spent in Devon
'Hymek' D7024 runs down from Torquay at the head of train 2C90 for Paignton and Kingswear
On a different day the Kingswear portion of the same train arrives at Kingswear behind D6350
We had a day in the Dawlish area and the following shots represent my only visit to the famous sea wall.
D1010 Western Campaigner emerges from the tunnel at the west end of Dawlish promenade.
BR 'Warship' No D831 Monarch heads along the sea wall with an up express.
Another 'Warship' heads a similar train at the same location.
and is followed by 'Western' D1004 Western Crusader
D7038 leaves Dawlis with an eastbound train.
Finally 'Warship' D866 Zebra heads a westbound van train.
